Adaptable Recruitment are proud to be working with a successful and well-established business based in Aintree who are looking to appoint a Finance Administrator to join their friendly and supportive finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in finance - whether you're an experienced office administrator looking to step into a finance environment, or an AAT student keen to build hands-on experience in a professional setting.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the finance team with day-to-day administrative and transactional tasks.
  • Process supplier invoices and match to purchase orders and delivery notes accurately.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Assist with preparation of supplier payments and maintain accurate supplier account information.
  • Help manage company expenses and Barclaycard transactions, ensuring correct receipts and approvals are in place.
  • Work closely with procurement and other internal teams to ensure records and data are up to date.
  • Provide general administrative support to the finance department, including maintaining spreadsheets and preparing correspondence.
  • Offer occasional cover for reception during holidays or absences.
  • Contribute to month-end processes and other ad hoc finance projects as required.

About You

  • Previous experience in an office or finance administration role (purchase ledger experience would be an advantage).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills and confident working with both internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Outlook and Word).
  • A positive, professional approach with a willingness to learn and develop.
  • Studying AAT (or equivalent) would be highly beneficial.
  • Experience using Sage 200 or similar accounting software is desirable but not essential.
