North West (Hybrid Working) | Up to £67,000 + £5,400 Car Allowance + Bonus
The Opportunity
We are exclusively partnering with a well-established UK business to recruit an experienced Head of Account Management.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this is a key leadership role responsible for driving commercial performance, customer retention, revenue forecasting and team development.
This is far more than a traditional account management position. We are looking for a commercially driven leader who can take ownership of performance, develop a high-performing team, strengthen customer engagement and drive business growth.
Key Areas of Focus
Forecasting & Ownership of Numbers
- Own company revenue forecasting and performance reporting.
- Deliver accurate forecasts and communicate risks and opportunities.
- Drive accountability for revenue performance.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, coach and develop the Account Management team.
- Create a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Inspire, motivate and challenge the team to maximise performance.
Commercial Growth
- Drive customer retention, profitability and account development.
- Identify opportunities to increase revenue within existing accounts.
- Support pricing strategies, commercial reviews and contract negotiations.
Sales & Customer Engagement
- Lead from the front in developing customer relationships.
- Encourage greater face-to-face customer engagement.
- Promote a proactive and commercially focused approach to account management.
Driving Change
- Bring fresh ideas and challenge existing ways of working.
- Build credibility with customers and stakeholders.
- Drive improvements across the function and wider business.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Account Management function.
- Conduct regular account reviews, forecasting meetings and performance discussions.
- Manage strategic customer relationships and support account growth.
- Develop customer retention and commercial growth strategies.
- Monitor performance trends and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure exceptional customer outcomes.
- Support commercial negotiations and customer reviews.
About You
- Proven leadership experience within Account Management, Client Services, Sales or Commercial functions.
- Strong forecasting capability and commercial awareness.
- Track record of driving customer growth and retention.
- Experience developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proactive, resilient and results focused.
Experience within print, packaging, manufacturing, fulfilment or a similar complex B2B environment would be advantageous. However, exceptional candidates from other sectors will also be considered.

- Salary up to £67,000 DOE
