Customer Service Advisor (Transport & Logistics)
Location: Runcorn
Salary: £26,500-£27,000 (depending on experience)
Full-time | Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm (flexible)
25 days holiday plus bank holidays

Adaptable recruitment are pleased to be supporting a well-established transport and logistics business in recruiting a Customer Service Advisor to join their busy operations team. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role where you'll play a key part in ensuring smooth coordination between customers and the planning team. What you will be doing:

• Creating and updating transport jobs accurately within internal systems
• Managing failed load reports and supporting rebooking of deliveries
• Monitoring and organising the team inbox, ensuring queries are directed efficiently
• Communicating with customers via phone and email, providing timely updates
• Coordinating late deliveries and keeping customers informed
• Checking daily job completion and ensuring all records are accurate
• Supporting planners with building efficient and cost-effective loads
• Updating customer portals with live job information
• Investigating and resolving customer or operational queries
• Maintaining daily reports, including demurrage tracking

What we are looking for:

• Experience within a transport, logistics or administration-based role
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
• Confident communicator with a professional phone manner
• Able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
• Proactive, organised, and able to work on your own initiative
