Location: Halton
Salary: £45,000 and over DOE
Shift pattern: Full-time, Permanent

We're working with a well-established business within the manufacturing sector who are looking to appoint an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join their team.

This is a key role within the business, reporting directly into senior leadership, where you'll play a pivotal part in ensuring the site operates safely, efficiently, and in line with all regulatory requirements, while also helping to drive a positive and proactive safety culture across the organisation.

The role:

  • Ensure the site is fully compliant with Health & Safety legislation
  • Act as the go-to for all Health & Safety matters across the site
  • Support managers and shop floor teams with guidance, coaching and advice
  • Lead on incident investigations, risk assessments and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Work closely with senior leadership to reduce risk and drive a proactive safety culture
  • Support audits and maintain compliance within internal HSE systems
  • Contribute to ongoing operational and change management projects
  • Help develop and implement effective processes to prevent reoccurrence of incidents


What we're looking for:

  • Proven experience in a Health & Safety role, ideally within a manufacturing environment
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent)
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation
  • A confident communicator who can engage and influence at all levels
  • Proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to take ownership
  • Comfortable delivering training and promoting best practice
  • Able to balance when to escalate and when to take action independently
