The Opportunity:

This Chief People Officer role represents a pivotal appointment at a defining moment. Joining the Executive Leadership Team as a strategic partner to the CEO, CFO and Board, you will drive a progressive, people‑centred culture that supports growth, innovation and organisational change.

Your mission is to lead the People & Culture function with energy, compassion and strategic clarity, ensuring colleagues feel supported and empowered through transformation.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Culture

  • Develop and deliver a forward‑thinking People & Culture strategy aligned to organisational goals.
  • Act as a trusted adviser to the CEO and Executive Team on all people‑related matters, including organisational design and workforce planning.
  • Champion an inclusive, values‑led culture built on accountability, collaboration and psychological safety.

Employee Experience & Wellbeing

  • Lead initiatives to enhance colleague experience, wellbeing and engagement.
  • Strengthen internal communications to ensure clarity, alignment and trust throughout ongoing change.

Transformation & Change Leadership

  • Play a central role in leading cultural and organisational transformation as systems, structures and working environments evolve.
  • Guide leaders and colleagues through change with empathy, pace and proactive communication.

People Operations & Talent

  • Oversee all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, development, retention, performance and succession.
  • Ensure the People function delivers modern, compliant and efficient HR operations and policies.

Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, safeguarding policies and all HR‑related governance requirements.

Candidate Profile

Essential

  • Extensive senior HR leadership experience within purpose‑driven, complex or evolving organisations.
  • Proven ability to lead people strategies during cultural or organisational transformation.
  • A dynamic, proactive and compassionate leadership style able to inspire trust and drive momentum.
  • Strong commercial and strategic acumen with the ability to balance long‑term vision with operational realities.
  • CIPD Chartered or equivalent professional experience.

Desirable

  • Background supporting workplace modernisation, change programmes or organisational redesign.
